June Sharp, RN – Director of Nursing

I was born in Akron, Ohio and moved to Tampa, Florida as a child. While attending high school, I was a member of Future Nurses of America and worked as a candy striper at Tampa General Hospital every Saturday. After marrying and raising three sons, I attended the University of South Florida, Gordon Keller School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse.

I have a broad range of nursing experience including orthopedics, neurology, intensive care, telemetry, hospice, oncology, home health, and long-term care. My true love in nursing is caring for those with dementia. I have extensive experience working with dementia residents and have earned my certification as a Dementia Care Provider from the Alzheimer’ Foundation of America. I am also an Alzheimer’s Association certified support group facilitator, and I host an Alzheimer’s Support group at Regal Palms Premier Assisted Living the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

I have been married to my current husband for the past 20 years. He is my best friend and supporter.
